Kate caravella, CAP, CIP, NCAC 1

Kate the co-founder of ICM and the CEO. She has been working in the fields of addictions mental health for 23 years. Kate’s formal education is in Social Work, Women Studies, and Addiction Science. She is the Lead Intervention Specialist and Lead Clinical Care Manager for the company. Prior to co-founding ICM in 2001, Kate worked for several nationally known treatment facilities. Kate has been published on the subjects of case management and intervention and is a member of the NAADAC, AIS, and NII. She has been awarded the CAP (Certified Addictions Professional) certification and is also nationally and internationally certified as an addictions counselor. Kate is a Certified Intervention Professional (CIP). Kate’s speciality is working with treatment resistant individuals, women, clients with severe co-occurring disorders (substance abuse, mental health, eating disorders, and process addictions), and those with conflicted family dynamics.

Dr. Dawn Sheehan, Psy. D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with active licenses in good standing in both Florida and Pennsylvania. She is nationally recognized forensic psychologist who is frequently called upon as an expert witness. Dr. Sheehan has over twenty years of professional experience and maintains a small private practice in PA. She is a Lead Intervention Specialist with ICM and is the director of the executive intervention program service. Additionally, Dr. Sheehan oversees our modified psychological and professional consultation service offering.

Johanna Limmer, LPC

Amy joined ICM Associates, Inc in the Fall of 2020. She is pursuing her MSW degree and currently interning as a  Clinical Care Manager. She works from our Pennsylvania office. Amy has several years of professional experience working with individuals who struggle with  substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, and trauma experiences.

Johanna has nearly twenty years of professional experience working with individuals and families that struggle with complex mental health disorders. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience in the areas of trauma/PTSD, personality disorders, eating disorders, and severe mental health issues. In addition to maintaining a private psychotherapy practice, Johanna has worked in a variety of treatment settings including adolescent residential treatment and community mental health. She has counseled woman who were victims of sex trafficking and is skilled at working with complex trauma. Additionally, Johanna has notable training as an EMDR specialist. Johanna specializes and enjoys working with pre-teens, adolescents, young adults and families.

Shelly is a Certified Addiction Professional with over a decade of experience working directly with both individuals and families who have been adversely affected by substance use and Co-occurring mental health disorders. Shelly is a skilled interventionist and has co-facilitated family interventions with Kate Caravella over the years. In addition to her expertise in addiction Shelly has received speciality training to work with those with complex trauma histories. Her specialities include relapse prevention, trauma in relation to addiction, and working with the LBGQ community.  Shelly is a dynamic, compassionate, and respectful professional who is dedicated to assisting families navigate the complex challenges that can arise both in active addiction and in recovery.
