The ICM Associates’ professional team are seasoned professionals who are committed to providing compassionate, ethical, and client centered services to individuals and families. All licenses and certifications are current and valid and we regularly participate in professional and continuing education training.
Kate the co-founder of ICM and the CEO. She has been working in the fields of addictions mental health for 23 years. Kate’s formal education is in Social Work, Women Studies, and Addiction Science. She is the Lead Intervention Specialist and Lead Clinical Care Manager for the company. Prior to co-founding ICM in 2001, Kate worked for several nationally known treatment facilities. Kate has been published on the subjects of case management and intervention and is a member of the NAADAC, AIS, and NII. She has been awarded the CAP (Certified Addictions Professional) certification and is also nationally and internationally certified as an addictions counselor. Kate is a Certified Intervention Professional (CIP). Kate’s speciality is working with treatment resistant individuals, women, clients with severe co-occurring disorders (substance abuse, mental health, eating disorders, and process addictions), and those with conflicted family dynamics.
Dr. Dawn Sheehan, Psy. D. is a licensed clinical psychologist with active licenses in good standing in both Florida and Pennsylvania. She is nationally recognized forensic psychologist who is frequently called upon as an expert witness. Dr. Sheehan has over twenty years of professional experience and maintains a small private practice in PA. She is a Lead Intervention Specialist with ICM and is the director of the executive intervention program service. Additionally, Dr. Sheehan oversees our modified psychological and professional consultation service offering.
Elena Johnston became a valued member of the ICM professional team in 2022, bringing with her a distinguished background in Social Work and certification as a CAP (Certified Addictions Professional) since 2012. At ICM, she fulfills multiple roles including Assistant Clinical Care Manager, Group Co-Facilitator, and Family Intervention Assistant. Furthermore, Elena plays a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day operations of the company, leveraging her exceptional organizational prowess. Her expertise shines particularly in her adept handling of young adults, clients with extensive relapse histories, and individuals grappling with executive functioning challenges.
Casey Ducote became a valuable asset to ICM Associates in 2023, assuming the role of Assistant Clinical Care Manager and Recovery Guide. With a keen understanding of addiction and mental health recovery, Casey leverages her creativity and empathetic approach to foster dynamic transformation within her clientele. Her adeptness at forging genuine connections and relating empathetically enables her to navigate the complexities of each client's journey with finesse. Casey's role extends beyond her official title, as she collaborates seamlessly with all members of the ICM team, contributing significantly to the organization's overarching mission and objectives.
Tara Cannon joined ICM Associates, Inc in 2021 as an adjunct clinical care manager and intervention co-facilitator. She also facilitates some of our peer centered support groups. Tara has over a decade of professional experience in the fields of addiction and behavioral health. She has earned certification as a Certified Recovery Residence Administrator via the Florida Certification Board, has been extensively trained, and is an exceptional sober/recovery coach.
